May 31, 2006:  Alerus Financial Purchases Dakota Property Management of Grand Forks

Dakota Property Management was founded in 1992 after The Lander Group moved its base of operations to Minneapolis, Minnesota.  The Lander Group still held property in Grand Forks and decided to give it's office staff an opportunity to continue on with the management of it's property.  Since 1992 Dakota Property Management has continued on through summer storms, winter blizzards, and a little flood in 1997 that really tested our management firms perseverance.  We're  proud to say we made it through the flood and are still delivering the same quality service you would expect from a North Dakota Company.

Dakota Property Management employs anywhere from 13-16 personnel throughout the year depending on the season.  Our employees are the backbone of our company and friendly courteous customer service is what we strive for on a day to day basis.  One of our past employees described our company best one day when she said, "Our company is small enough to know you but large enough to serve you".  This holds true today as we are a local property management company that specializes in residential, commercial, and condominium association management.
